Onyx is variation of Chalcedony with Parallel Bands going through it. Though one of the most popular varieties, most "Black Onyx" has to be artificially colored to achieve that "Solid Black Onyx" look we are all used to seeing today.
These beads have larger 2.5mm holes drilled for easier use of thicker cords, elastics, or various types of threads.
