Apatite is a phosphate mineral and is the defining mineral for 5 on the Mohs scale. Its name is derived from the Greek word Apatein meaning to 'deceive' or 'to be misleading'. This is because it is easily confused for other minerals due to the variety of shapes and colors it comes in. These particular beads are varying shades of dark to light blue in color. Very Beautiful!
